CalcBook helps engineers move faster in their day-to-day work, enabling them to quickly and easily create structural calculations, check code compliance, and produce professional calculation books on a daily basis.
 

Since it was founded in 2020, CalcBook has transformed from a Visual Basic prototype to a guided senior project for computer science students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to a refined, industry-grade software.
 

CalcBook was created by Peter Jacobs and Nick Treadaway, two registered California Professional Engineers with over 20 years of combined structural design experience. The two founded CalcBook in response to the cumbersome, outdated process of hand calculations and lack of transparent industry software, with the goal of creating a quicker, easier, and more accurate way to produce structural engineering calculations.
